Vivienne Westwood and Rocking Horse shoes

Ever hear of Vivienne Westwood?

Not to date myself or anything (ha) but she was the designer who helped The Sex Pistol's achieve their look back in the late '70's.

She also designed the "Rocking Horse" ballet shoe that is now popular with many a Lolita girl across the globe.

Well, it might be hard to find a decent pair in that style for yourself - but it'll soon be easy to get a version of that style for your 60cm BJDs!

I'll be listing them on eBay within the next two weeks :)

Obitsu items listed on eBay!

Listed a bunch of OBITSU things on eBay:

• 60cm 3-part torso dolls in FLESH TONE (these come with the standard head, no eyeholes)
• 60-011 head for the 60cm dolls in FLESH TONE (my favorite 60cm Obitsu head!)
  
• HARUKA head for the 60cm dolls in FLESH TONE (gotta love the sweet little Harukas!)
  
• OBITSU WIGS for the 60cm dolls - these are the long, straight middle part wigs - an 5 different colors
• 27cm large-chest dolls in flesh tone with the FO1 head (love these heads!)

Also listed a new little fairy - her name is STELLA (ah yes, Italian for STAR) and she's a feisty little thing with wild curly lavender hair with pink mohair highlights and a sexy little butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder, and scrolls painted on her ankles!


I'm putting the finishing touches on the other HAPPY DOLL, who is starting to look like a little punk queen (or S&M princess, lol!)

Happy Doll review

I just finished painting my second Happy Doll - and am soooo very pleased with it! Should have her listed on eBay sometime next week.

These dolls are definitely more costly than the Obitsu BJD's, but I'm so very happy with the quality and workmanship of these dolls. I'll probably end up writing a review on eBay but for now, suffice it to say that they are well worth the money - very solid limbs, absolutely stunning facial features - and the clothing is WELL MADE and just gorgeous!

Also am expecting more Obitsu products shortly - the Hansel 55cm boy doll should be released in May (keeping my fingers crossed on this!) but I'll definitely have more Gretels, Harukas and 60cm bodies up for auction. Also - some flesh tone 60-011 heads (my fav Obitsu head, BTW), and some flesh-toned 27cm bodies too!

My website is ALMOST done too! Can't wait to see it in completion - and I hope you'll enjoy the tutorials, product reviews and other "specials" that I'll have there...

She's up for auction now...made from a head and body by HAPPY DOLL, and faceup done by little ol' me :)

I'm really pleased with the quality of the Happy Dolls - they're heavier and seemingly more robust than their Obitsu counterparts :) I also like that they're strung together as opposed to plastic interior pieces (ever try to take apart your 60cm Obitsu...um, not for the weak of heart).

Anyhoo...I'll have more Happy Doll girlies and even a 60cm boy up for auction very, very soon!

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of some cool shoes too!

April showers...

...are NOT happening in South Florida.

bummer.

We could really use a good rain - but hey, I can't complain, the weather's been sunny and breezy and in the high 70's :)

So what's new and exciting at MonaLisa Creations? Well, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of some awesome new products that should be here any day now. More cool BJD's, goth and lolita style clothing and SHOES (yipeee) amongst other things.

The other news? Well, I'll soon be offering a few REBORN babies :)

I guess you could say MLC has come full circle - from goth chics to fairies and from princesses (and the occasional prince, lol) to....babies!
